The Grand National Truck Show
The Grand National Truck Show, September 16-17, 2023, was a blast. A room filled with trucks and vans, what more could a truck enthusiast ask for? Thank you to the Grand National Truck Show Team for the show and for allowing the Ranchero and the Blue Q to photograph the event; well done, very organized for a first event, it was great.
We are looking forward to next year.
Cruisin’ for a Cure, September 9, 2023, was a great classic car show. Arriving early, the crowd was light, so catching a few rides before the car enthusiast circled the view is always worth getting somewhere before the crowds.
Cruisin’ for a Cure is all about classic cars, but their health screenings for prostate cancer showcase the importance a car show can bring to a venue. This show knows how to line a fairground. Situated on the lawn and the parking lot, there is plenty of room to enjoy the cruise. This is one of Southern California's biggest car shows with a broad range of rides.

Classics in the Park
Always a favorite car show, the Road Kings at Johnny Carson Park in Burbank did not disappoint. This classic car show sits on the lawn with a rolling hillside on the upper level and a park setting on the lower level of the event, with a natural wildlife setting in between. The divide between the two groups almost feels like two separate car shows.
EV Technology
This year on the upper level, was a new kind of classic. EV Technology came to the park with Current. A California firm that specializes in converting classics into electric vehicles. The Road Kings is one of the oldest car clubs, and the pleasure of attending the show was way too much fun—a big thank you to everyone who stopped by to see the Ranchero and the Blue Q.
